David Mitchell

Director

David, an Aerospace Systems Engineering graduate from the University of Hertfordshire, has amassed experience across various sectors, including Aerospace, Marine, and Off-Grid applications

 

Starting out at Marshall Aerospace in aircraft avionics design, system commissioning and fault finding for multiple aircraft types. David also spent time at an overseas customer facility to work alongside the customer to provide in-service upgrade and maintenance support. Then overseeing new product development of aircraft avionics, including design, test, certification and entry into service.

 

David then focused on Control System Architecture, Avionics, and Electrical design for the Airlander Hybrid Air Vehicle. His responsibilities included Avionics, Flight Control Network and telemetry design, bench testing, system commissioning, and ground support for Flight Tests.

 

In the Off-Highway sector, David worked in Automation R&D and New Product Development for Crushers and Screeners. He also worked on telematics development for in-service machines and machine learning development for in-service support applications.

 

Most recently, David has been engaged in Control System Architecture design and control development for both prototype and class-approved all-electric hydrofoiling vessels. His work includes control system architecture design, software development, bench and rig testing, system commissioning and on-water testing, complemented by telematics development.
